Anxiety Medication Not Working Anymore - Is This Normal?

I've been switched from medication to medication for my anxiety. They always seem to help in the beginning and then by the second year they're doing nothing for me. Is that normal? 😮‍💨

Probably... I'm not sure... But have you tried Gabapentin? Or Buproprion?

Oh sorry I see you are on Bupropion. You may need to increase your dose, I've needed to recently

I've had the same experience. Currently on Diazepam and so far it's helping. But I wouldn't be surprised if it stopped. I have this problem with antidepressants too.

i’m the same way. i’m on the max dosage for both of my antidepressants right now. it’s all about trying a bunch until you find what’s right, unfortunately.

Yeah, I dealt with switching from medicine to medicine for 3 years. For some people it definitely takes time to say the least. You just have to keep searching, it’s trial and error.

Your body develops a tolerance to medication and most people aren’t on the same medication long term, it can be unsafe for your body

Any issues with allergies? You could always try hydroxyzine. That way it helps with anxiety and allergies lol
