So I’m currently un medicated still due to the holidays and stuff and can’t see my psychiatrist yet. How do you handle anger and manic episodes associated with bipolar disorder?

Breathe! Count to 5 or 10 and think about the person you’re talking to, think about your appropriate response, THEN respond. Be it in person or via text or call I always need to breathe and take 5-10 seconds to remember I love this person, and I need to be appropriate to what’s happening. If you want to speak further I’m free anytime, DM me. I have Bipolar 1 and I’m familiar with the anger and how it feels to be unmedicated. It’s a scary feeling, you’re so brave for getting help at all and for realizing you need help with your anger. 🫶🏻
