Similar situation for me. My wife is fantastic within married for over 35 years. It is definitely put strains on us over the years. It's a horrific addiction. Not like we can just avoid bars or liquor stores. Not like our friends can help us out and throw away the stash. I think it's the worst, it's always with us. I work hard to find distractions. I do find fishing is very beneficial. The movement of the boat keeps my mind busy on my balance. The white noise the water and wind, I don't know it just seems to help.
