Dealing with GAD during Covid

To anyone else that has GAD, what has helped you through Covid? I have health related anxiety so bad and I constantly convinced that if I get Covid I will just die. I know that probably (🤞🏻) isn’t true because I try to take really good care of myself. It’s just always in the back of my head. Thank you 💕

Same here! I’m young and in pretty decent shape but I’m the same way. I take Ativan on occasion when it gets really bad. Tried taking other anxiety meds and they make it worse. I try to stay off the news and media stuff as that makes it much worse. Hoping you find a great solution soon!

I agree with Jdubs. Hearing news really made my anxiety worsened so I’m trying to stay off of it too. I try to do things that I love such as taking walks and meeting friends in open spaces. Try to keep on your daily routine while still being careful

At the beginning of the pandemic I had the same fear. I stayed home for more than 2 months, ordered groceries and food online and left my apt only to take out the trash. When I finally went out it felt like the apocalypse. I wore two masks, gloves, and stayed away from anyone. Over time, I got my two shots, and started to fear less. I still have my issues, but I’m working on it with my therapist

I had badddd anxiety throughout Covid for other reasons, but the only thing that helped me was deciding that I needed help. Once I got a therapist and psychiatrist everything changed. If you cant afford it, I would look up DBT stuff. That‘s where I started and would HIGHLY recommend
