Can a dislocation be not very painful?

Can a dislocation be not very painful? My thumb slipped sideways when I was getting up and putting a fair amount of pressure on it, but it only hurt (not badly, like maybe a 5/10) for a few minutes and now I can't feel any pain (except for some motions like curling it a lot). Could that be a dislocation and should I be worried? I've dislocated my kneecaps before and my left didn't hurt badly both times (it more just slipped out). I'm pretty sure I have eds but haven't been diagnosed yet (planning to ask my dr soon).

If you do happen to have hsd or eds, I would say dislocations or partial dislocations (subluxations) can just happen with not much pain. Sometimes things are just so lax that they can just slip up! I wouldn't be too worried about it, but definitely I would suggest bracing up afterwards or doing your best to stabilize joints during activities that tend to trigger this.
