Why Do My Ears Get So Warm?

Anyone else’s ears get really warm sometimes? Any one know what this could be a symptom of? The only thing I’ve found for it has been menopause, which, I’m 19, so not there yet.

Can you help? Connect today

My anti-depressants make me really prone to overheating so could be that if ur on anything. Autism can also make you quite sensitive to temperature so maybe ur just reacting more to temperature increases?

it started before my antidepressants, the autism might be a possibility, but I doubt it cause it’s cold rn

Is it ONLY your ears? Or is it like a ears face neck kind of thing like hot flashes?

I have something called PMDD and it causes bigger hormonal shifts when I am pmsing and during my period (so only like one week off a month without symptoms of it) and I get hot ears every time but usually hot flashes come after that. Hormones in general can cause them, so I wouldn’t get too worried!

I get full hot flashes around my period, but the ear thing is, like not constant, but it’s not around a particular time

Me (20F) and my dad (56M) both get very sudden and visible hot flushes in our ears sometimes. For context other things we have in common are: anxiety, autism (probably) and both of our jaws subluxate sometimes. It can be triggered by the “wrong kind” of warmth and sometimes emotion, occasionally there is no discernible trigger. I’m not sure if this will help but maybe you have something in common with us?

I have anxiety and autism, so that’s 2 out of 3 Mine don’t seemed to be caused by temperature or emotions though, it’s just random. But the anxiety seems like it is a plausible cause

If your ears are red all the time, then it could be red ear syndrome. My mom has it and hers get really hot

I’m also autistic and I think it’s a regulation thing, I have issues regulating my temperature and a lot of my other autistic friends have the same issue
