Finding Escapism from Bad News and Thoughts

Does anyone know how to find escapism? I have literally been bogged down by bad news and bad thoughts. Even my dreams are terrible. How can I fix this?

I'll take any tips as well, I bury myself in work to much and unfortunately I've grown addicted to the pain so I just kinda brood a lot I guess

Getting outside and just observing nature is always so fun to me, I will just sit in the backyard! I sometimes knit there as well. I read fanfiction based on characters I really like and want to spend more time with, I hang out with my dog. I find it really hard to watch shows and movies, but YouTube has so many videos you can likely find something! I also try to have a certain amount of time away from electronics to just allow myself to be! Those are some of the things I do, you are most welcome to dm me if you like! I hope you find some joy

You can read books that you enjoy whether it be fiction or nonfiction. As long as it is positive and has you dwelling on positive thoughts👍🏾 Also, you can find a positive tv show, YouTube videos, draw, use and adult coloring book, crochet, make vision boards/collages, garden, write/read poems, cook, play with a pet, dance.
