Be ready for them to want to crank u open and look around. I wasn’t prepared for that at my first one and had a bit of meltdown. You can just say you’re not ready for that if you aren’t and they’ll be fine!

Gosh people are really trying to scare you here. I had my first appointment last year and honestly I was terrified. I had no idea what to expect. The physical examination scared me the most. Everyone I talked to said it is what it is and that you just have to deal with it. I thought I was going to have a breakdown I was so nervous. It didn't end up being as bad as I thought. It was very uncomfortable and awkward but not as bad as I had expected. After the fact I do think I would have preferred a female doctor as mine was a guy. I think it would have helped with nerves.
