Seeking Insight on Getting Diagnosed with DID

Hello! My doctor suspects that we have DID because I switch between "we, I, us, ours, mine" and etc and other symptoms like memory loss, bad dissociation, feeling like I'm somebody else, bad memory loss, memories appearing in my mind that are not my own, and feeling like the body I'm in isn't me. She says it is very likely that my trauma was so bad and that's why I only remember stuff from when we were fourteen and up because it wasn't me until I was fourteen if that makes any sense. I'm not looking for people to agree with her or anything, we just want some insight on how getting diagnosed looks like or how to prepare for the journey. thank you :3
