To be honest, none of them have helped me with the facial hair. The only thing that's worked for me has been finesteride. However, Spironalactone is apparently supposed to have a similar effect according to a study my doctor showed me.

I’m not sure tbh. I’m on birth control right now and I have more facial hair than regular so I don’t think that it’s helping. It’s mainly helping me regulate my period

I've been through all the medications. Waxing and laser removal are the most comfortable atp for me. Shaving irritates my skin and creates ingrown hairs and break outs on my face.

I have PCOS and I have done laser hair removal on my neck chest and part of my face a little over a year and I cannot tell you how much it has helped.

do you mind if I ask if any hair growth has returned? Or any new hair growth in the same spot?

With laser hair removal how many sessions did it take for the hair to stop growing back?

just want to chime in—I tried laser for chin/face hair. The hair is thinner from the 4-5 or so sessions I did complete, but I was unable to finish the course due to a combination of pain and my skin taking on color from the sun despite using SPF 90 and over sunscreen all the time. Living in Florida, I just couldn’t keep from tanning, and I got sent home from scheduled appointments. It was all really frustrating and, even with numbing cream, got pretty painful as they increase laser strength each session. I know people who have had great success, so this isn’t to say it might not work for you! This was also quite some time ago, so it’s possible they’re now better able to handle things like tanning, I wouldn’t know. Just worth being aware of potential factors/challenges!

My dr prescribed me spironolactone. It is a diuretic, but one of the side effects is hair thinning.
