So I felt this way about my back, turns out they were missing something on my MRI for years! Really taught me how important it is to push when you feel like something else may be wrong

I feel like this all the time! Every time I go to the doctors about something they just blame it on fibro and that's the end of it. I have recently moved doctors so I'm hoping this surgery will be much better about things!

Yeah absolutely. After being diagnosed with fibromyalgia, my doctors don’t want to look into anything else.

Yupppp. I’ve always been right that they’ve been missing something too.

Yes! Sometimes I feel like I won't be taken seriously unless I find the diagnosis myself then show my doctor🤦🏾‍♀️

All the time, and for multiple conditions. I've even had a doctor tell me I couldn't have hypermobility because I can't touch my toes. I'd been diagnosed with hypermobility years before and had physical and occupational therapy for it. I had a doctor put in my chart that I'm a hypochondriac (when I was in elementary school) so no one tends to take me seriously. I was even threatened with suspension for sleeping through all my classes in high school. They refused to apologize when I was diagnosed with narcolepsy.

I honestly just don't trust the hospitals in my part of America anymore....which is weird because I'm in Michigan. Can't imagine Kentucky.

I know this post was a while ago but I commented at the time saying I also feel this way and actually moved doctors in the hope they would finally listen to me. Well guess what I do have another condition! 🙃 It took me 3 different doctors surgeries and too many doctors to count but I finally have some answers which make sense. So I guess I just wanted to say to keep fighting for yourselves! Even if it is extremely frustrating and deflating!
