Physical therapy helped me because she was able to show me specifically what I was doing wrong (because of my hypermobility) and train me to use the right muscles when I'm standing and walking. It's been a big help with my knee pain in particular. I'm guessing you could get a similar education online as well if PT isn't affordable for you. It's mainly been about taking my knees to 100% extension (how I used to stand) and learning from there that 90% is actually the safe amount for me, in addition to letting my thighs take a more active role in holding me upright. @Anura I was also recommended pt for the same reason except that it's for knee strain. My nurse practitioner said that I definitely have signs of overcompensated hypermobility
