Learning to Care for Myself and My Inner Child

Hey there. I'm a 20 year old gay man living in Idaho. I've had chronic conditions since I was younger, but was not allowed the care I needed. I am learning to care for myself and my inner child now.

I get it. Sometimes I resent my parents for not getting me care as a child because I wouldn’t be struggling so badly as an adult. Your inner child deserves to heal.

I definitely understand. My Mom has bipolar and despite me being chronically depressed from a young age, my parents didn't think I could also have it so I was punished. After getting out of that situation though, things are looking up c: love to you

I’ve also been in the process of getting to know and take care of my inner child. I find doing things that children do but I didn’t get to do make me learn things about myself. Like even tho I never got to color as a child Art is my passion. Or put together puzzles as a kid. Puzzles are so fun now. I collect them. Sometimes I read books intended for a younger age group but I didn’t get to read before. I’m only 23 and I’m still figuring it out. Good luck
