one of the meds I'm on is Wellbutrin, and I like it. It helps with my anxiety and depression, and I haven't noticed side effects. I've been on it for a few years now.

I've been on it for a while and I have had great success with it. Especially with depression and anxiety. Also doesn't seem to have the side effects of others. At least for me 🙂

My experience seemed to be the opposite of most. My PCP prescribed 150mg bupropion as a "let's see how this works" while I was waiting for my first Neuropsych appointment for an ADHD eval. It made me super tired, like I'd crash right after work and sleep 5:30p to 7:30a. I would get very easily irritated at the littlest things, and I felt like a b**ch all the time, which was a complete 180 from uaual. When the dose was taken up to 300mg after the first couple of weeks, my mood got worse and I started having insanely vivid nightmares to the point where some nights I was doing everything I could to try to not fall asleep. That was kind of the final straw. I've since started taking Adderall and fluoxetine alongside biweekly CBT sessions since getting my official diagnoses and establishing care with Neuropsych and a psychologist. I had my first appointment last week with a psychiatrist, and her opinion is I was started on too high of a dose and increased too soon. The moral of the story is to keep an eye on how you're feeling. I find it helps to keep a journal with notes on daily moods, health, events, foods/drinks, etc, so I can track trends and if there are certain things that make symptoms worse or better. Do not hesitate to let your providers know if you have concerns and advocate for yourself if there is a treatment that just isn't working. Not all bodies and brains are the same! 🤗

high five to another Fluxoetine user! ✋ I have a harder time regulating my emotions off any antidepressant, but your psychiatrist was right -- there is no reason to start anyone on that high of a dose. I'm glad things got better for you ❤️

I've heard great things from people about it, but it did nothing for me. No benefits and no side effects

Medication affects people differently. In support groups there's a guideline of not discussing that.

The norepinephrine initially kicked in so I had plenty of energy to go about my daily activities. No major side effects other than insomnia and diminished appetite. Mood improvements take around 6-8 weeks.
