POTs and Heart Attack Symptoms

Hey POTs friends. I have experienced this a few times and wanted to know if anyone else has as well. I have almost this squeeze sensation and arm pain that feels like it could be a heart attack but it never actually is?

Yes, some people with POTS have experienced chest discomfort, arm pain, and a feeling of their heart being squeezed. These symptoms can be alarming but are not necessarily indicative of a heart attack...See More

Yes, I have gotten this since I was a kid. It feels like something is squeezing my heart. It'll often last for around 30 seconds or less. Other times I get a sharp stabbing pain randomly in the left of my chest, to the point where it'll stop me for a second or two. My doctor didn't seem worried when I told him about it, but you should ask your doctor to be safe 😊 I have heard from people on social media with POTS that they get this too

AliveCor Kardia Mobile 6L FDA Cleared- Mobile ECG device https://www.walmart.com/ip/951877725 is now only $99 for this "6 lead" version (i dont have any monthly subscription). I use it just to reassure myself that it the palps arent more. Officially, it is really only FDA cleared for AFib and a couple other rhythm problems. However, i have no doubt that if i was having actual heart issues, something would show up. Even when my internal shaking is too high to get an official Kardia reading, i still see the ECG. I find it very helpful and emotionally a cheap reassurance. Ive had mine for a couple years now. I recall one of the buyers comments was some vendor sources didnt rotate the stock and so battery life was short. It is a replaceable battery. For me, i havent hsd to replace it yet and i have used it often when i first got it. There are many types out there. I believe Kardia is still the most accurate, but that was a couple years ago.

Ps. I bought from Walmart so it actually came from manuf directly. It was 1.5 years ago. And was $149. And is Fsa/Hsa eligible.

I get it too sometimes and it always scares me half to death. I got a heart monitor that works like an EKG a few months ago and it has really helped my stress :)
