Reducing Pain from Blood Tests: Any Suggestions?

I recently had to have a blood test and I’m a notoriously bad bleeder, so everything that could go wrong did. Does anyone have any suggestions on ways to reduce pain from that?

Whenever I’m having a blood draw I try to drink lots of water the day of and the day before. Also electrolyte drinks would be a good idea for POTS
