Questions about Shunt Redo Surgery

What happens when you have a shunt redone? What's good things to ask? Had me wait but now says I can eat so definitely don't know if my surgery is tomorrow. They will try to switch it from my heart to the stomach. What might I feel like after? Stomach issues? Do they shave a lot of hair? thanks

They will shave part of your hair off but not all of it. And you might have an incision on your abdomen as well. They kept me a minimum of three days each time I have had nine of them so far.. well eight bc the other one was an Arnold Chiari malformation surgery which is very difficult to recover from. Make sure you ask them about everything that can go wrong. It most likely won’t but if something did at least they told you about it. Afterwards take eating and drinking slowly. You may feel some dizziness

thanks. Online mentioned slow eating. Just wondering if I'm going to be told these things too.

I must have issues with anastesia cuz it was hours before I fully woke up. Not fully sure how bad the shave is. But seems to be in back. Had shorter cut before surgery. Hopefully not a bad choice or my daughter wants to get me a wig lol The pain in stomach walking around finally better but I can't turn my head. Still no help washing up here but oh well.
