You will definitely get the side effects of dry mouth, that was the first side effect I got! And being hungry and not having an appetite is a new thing for me. And for the drowsy part, if it makes you drowsy take it at night before bed! Mine kept me up all night so I have to take it in the morning. I have a combination of pills so one might effect the other differently.

i am SO grateful to lexapro. i went from not being able to even say "hi", to making friends and actually having fun! it decreased my social anxiety by a ton.

I had amazing results with lexapro, but make sure you always have access to water and a bathroom

I’ve been taking lexapro and as someone with an extremely sensitive system I can say that I love it. I’ve had little to no problems since taking it and while it’s taken a bit of time to take effect, I think I’m starting to feel a difference.

i haven’t found it to be much help but meds work different for everyone! i went up to a higher dose and it made it nearly impossible to focus on anything. but again, it works differently for everyone. i hope it goes well!

lexapro definitely helped my anxiety a lot!! be careful that if you’re on it for multiple years, you could have side effects such as lack of motivation and trouble getting out of bed in the morning. worked wonders on my anxiety

I am on lexapro and it has done wonders not only in the anxiety but also depressive state. It helps get rid of the feeling of extreme weight and unwillingness to do anything

I couldn’t sleep on it, so I had to switch.

I love lexapro. After sertraline, Prozac, fluoxetine, quilivant, etc lexapro is my dream come true. It makes me really drowsy so I take it at night with my melatonin. And for the first 5-6 months it really crushed my sex-drive…but that came back as I got more used to my dosage. Currently on 20mg, very happy :) It has helped with my GAD, and depression.

Funny enough I feel like it don’t do anything for me! Idk why, I didn’t get neither positive or negative side effects. I stayed the same for some reason it was weird

lexapro works great for me. it disrupted my sleep schedule for the first couple weeks when i started taking it, but aside from that, it’s been really helpful

I was on Lexapro it helped yes but my sex drive was gone and all it did was make me sit on the couch and do nothing

Dry mouth is a necessary evil in my case. I have treatment resistant depression unless I'm hypomanic or manic...it's literally the only antidepressant I've been able to keep in rotation since I was 10. Or 21 years ago.

For me it was great. I tried it after prozac and Paxil. It’s been the best so far and this is after having years of constant suicidal thoughts. I do take in now in combination with abilify but I have minimal side effects and the positives are definitely worth it for me.

I genuinely feel it has helped me deal with things a lot better! It wasn’t like a noticeable 360. More like as time went on I would think “oh I’m not spiraling like I used to”. So that’s great imo.
