Should I Stop Taking Vitamin D in the Summer?

Can I stop taking vitamin D in the summer months because I’m getting so much sun? It just seems weird to take it before being in the sun all day.

It's important to consult with your doctor before making any changes to your vitamin supplementation. They can provide personalized advice based on your specific needs and health conditions.

If you have a vitamin d deficiency if some kind, it couldn't hurt to check with your doctor before stopping it. In theory, if you're spending more time in the sun you shouldn't need the vitamin d, but to be honest I don't really know enough about it to say for sure.

From what I've read sunlight gives you more potent Vit D than supplements do, but it's definitely worth checking if you're still deficient. You might well need both - my husband and I do!

I don't see why not! Just let your doctor know when you see them next! ❤️

It totally depends on why you're taking it. I had a deficiency and then found out I have arthritis and Thyroiditis. So I stay on mine.
