Struggling with Insomnia and Pain After Laparoscopy and Hysteroscopy for Stage 4 Endo

I just had my first laparoscopy and hysteroscopy this morning. I was diagnosed with stage 4 endo. A couple of questions- did anyone else struggle with insomnia after the surgery? I've been trying to sleep all night, and can't seem to sleep. About how long did it take for the soreness in your lower abdomen to go away? I'm taking my medication as prescribed but it feels like it's not even touching the pain. Is there anything I can do to speed up the pain recovery?

I'm sorry you're having such a difficult recovery. If you don't mind me asking, what medicine did they give you for the pain after your surgery?

so sorry, I just realized I had a response to my post. I did better after a few days, then had to go to the er for severe pain about 2 weeks post op - they said it was a pulled muscle. I was prescribed oxycodone.
