Struggling with Symptoms in my Relationship

Sometimes when I’m with my boyfriend, and I get bad symptoms I get really quiet and subdued and sometimes irritable. I feel bad about this. I tell him it’s because of pain/fatigue etc., and I think he believes me, but I still feel bad about it.

This happens to me too. ☹️ When I'm feeling better, I try to thank my partner for being so understanding when I'm irritable from pain. He often will politely ask me now if I need help getting my meds, putting on pain cream, getting the ice or heating pad, etc. We've been together almost 8 years and he's gotten to know my needs pretty well. I used to have an info card for him "in case of this, I might need these things..." because my mood sometimes spiraled too and it was hard to verbalize my needs. You're definitely not alone! I hope your boyfriend is understanding and supportive!
