Struggling with Weight Loss: Need Advice

How do you guys deal with loosing weight? I have tried all types of cleanses and I also workout at least 4 times a week. I’ve read doing weight is better than cardio. I cut gluten and lactose but nothing seems to be working.

Can you help? Connect today

I'm the same 4 days a week o weight train and I do notice the benefits but the weight stays on. It wasn't until last year that I realized the only way to help my weight and hormonal belly were to walk and do ab workouts for post partum women. Lots ten lbs last year. Can't wait to start walking again when the weather breaks it does wonders for my mental health too. For reference I would walk 3 miles 2-3 times a week.

Weight loss happens when in a calorie deficit. Hypo makes it a little more difficult for us but keeping track of your calories and burning calories with exercise can keep you in a calorie deficit. There's online calculators to help you find out how many calories you need in a day to lose or sustain your weight. Once I started tracking my calories, I realized how loaded some of my healthy options were and I wasn't doing enough exercise to burn off those extra calories. At the same time, don't deprive yourself! Food is not the enemy, it's meant to give you energy and occasional treats are just fine :)

I read a few studies about losing weight with no thyroid since mine was removed. They all said low carb is the way to go. It said something about insulin and the way our bodies work and that low calorie diets aren’t good news. Idk. I feel like I’ve tried everything. My endo said I need to be an a low carb/anti inflammatory diet.
