Has Anyone Experienced UTIs Caused by Kidney Stones?

So I’ve had UTIs since becoming sexually active in 2013 and I only get them after having intercourse. I was put on macrobid and that helped with prevention up until 2021 then I started getting resistant. I was then put on methenamine, vit c and dmannos. When that didn’t work I got moved to estradiol. My doc is stumped because nothing has helped and with every UTI I’m resistant to more and more antibiotics. I also have 2 kidney stones and she referred me to a special doc to see if they are the cause. Has anyone experienced this where kidney stones have been the source of UTIs?

I haven’t had UTI’s from kidney /stones/ but I did have kidney reflux that was causing most of my UTI’s.. I definitely see how it could be related!

Did you get UTIs at random moments or was it connected to specific activities? I had congenital Vesicoureteral reflux which was discover because of UTIs when I was a baby. I’ve had 3 surgeries as a child but haven’t had a VCUG in years. My only thing is I ONLY get UTIs now with intercourse.

I always thought when I was having flank pain I had a uti. But, it wasn’t. I found out I have two stones myself in my left kidney. If they get bigger they gotta operate. They’re small now. I have uti’s with or without intercourse. Like you, I’m on macrobid been on it but been resistant to some antibiotics. They said I possibly have a blockage. Then the stones came in. I haven’t been told that but I feel like mines are. I get pain in my lower back and it hurts. 🫤
