Taking high doses of Vyvanse and Wellbutrin together

has anyone ever taken the highest doses of vyvanse and wellbutrin together? 70 mg of vyvanse and 450 of wellbutrin. my doctor just increased both of my dosages and i wanted to see if anyone had any side effects with this combo. my doctor told me i'm a fast metabolizer and i think that makes me less likely to experience negative effects, but i always want to be prepared. :)

I was on 450 Wellbutrin but only 50 of Vyvanse... I was fine for what that's worth. 🤷‍♀️

sounds like a recipe for mania... At least for me!!! (Wellbutrin made me incredibly manic even at 100-150mg over time... I take Vyvanse now 50mg and even with that I need to be conscientious about taking breaks from it regularly so I don't get hypomanic and crasg

I agree with the above. If you're bipolar it could definitely trigger a manic episode. With that said, I have taken those two high doses and have been fine. Though I am like a horse when it comes to meds, it takes a lot to bring me down. Tread lightly and monitor your symptoms! Good luck!

thank you guys! i didn't even consider mania. i have bipolar 2 and struggle a lot more with depression than hypomania, but i have a few tell-tale signs that i'm going hypomanic that i'll keep an eye out for. i've also been on 300 mg of wellbutrin for 4 years and had been on 60 of vyvanse so it wasn't a huge leap. i took them for the first time today and felt great, so hopefully it stays that way. more than anything i was worried about physical side effects, but that doesn't seem to be a problem so far.
