Dealing with Abdominal Pain Again

Struggling with abdominal pain again. It was years ago that I went through a bunch of tests only to be referred to PT and that fixed my problem. It was actually my brain telling my body to be in pain. Now this is the second time in about a month that I've had this same pain. I know what I need to do to calm everything down, but calling in to work is not good.

Calling into work is no good but depending on the situation, if you need to it might help you get back to work faster. But still that sucks it’s at that point. Most of the time I’d rather push thru than call in but have done damage doing that. Hope you get what you need so the pain relieves. What calms the pain for you? Asking because I am looking for something that works for me and been wondering for a while if it’s my body being so used to pain that it’s just been programmed to feel it and send off signals- hypersensitivity type of thing going on. Stomach pain has been in a flare again and really effecting me the last few weeks and my normal fixes haven’t been helping as much.

If I stay away from bread products like pasta, chips, etc. it seems to help with the pain. I still have some this morning, but it isn't near as bad. And the fever is gone.

you might consider getting tested for food sensitivity. When I did, I found that I am particularly sensitive to gluten... even though I have some degree of sensitivity to nearly all foods. You might even be sensitive to the cooking oil used! It's probably worth trying...

What did PT do for reducing your pain. I have viscera hypersensitivity in the stomach lining and the tissue above that specific area.

PT taught me deep breathing to calm and relax and some massage techniques that helped a lot

I have had pain in my abdomen, so I know how you feel! My pain was caused by my uterus. However, I had bad menstrual periods, and my uterus was in the shape of a football. The doctor gave me two options, either do an ablasion or do a hysterectomy. The ablasion would only temporarily fix the issue, and I would have to do it again if I choose that option. I choose the hysterectomy.
