Do I Have ADHD in Addition to Bipolar Disorder?

I'm wondering if I have ADHD in addition to bipolar disorder or if it's just the mania/hypomania symptoms tricking me into thinking I have ADHD. I'm really worried about it right now. I've always been really scattered in my thinking/ brain racing, feeling restless . but that could just be the symptoms of the highs that come with bipolar. either way I'm going to talk to my psychiatrist about it but I'm wondering is it common to have both conditions and how do you tell the difference between the symptoms ?

hey! New here myself. I think it is actually very common to have both. I’ve had undiagnosed adhd for like 20 years (I’m 22) and my psychiatrist recently told me that bipolar meds can act on the same receptors that the add/adhd needs. But we’re moving on to thinking about other adhd medications/treatments. Sorry for the long response lol but definitely common to have both!!
