It really is hard trying to do your best without your medicine. I've been there. I do take my medicine anymore, but I still know how helpful it is to have it. I find that working together with friends either online or in person helps as they keep reminding me to stay on track. Another thing that I find helps is to find some fidget toys. I have a fidget cube that I bring to school everyday and it helps me when I need to focus on what someone is saying or when I need to be working on something. I know that it might not be anything food related, but I hope this helps even a little bit :]

I'm so sorry, I had insurance issues and had to be off my meds for 27 days during midterms which was a nightmare. It made me try other things, though, and I found some things that helped a lot. Fish oil supplements can be good for ADHD and while it isn't a replacement for meds, it does help me a lot. Fixing my sleep schedule and using an app to wake me up at the best point in my sleep cycle so I get the most energy possible from sleep helps a ton. I also recommend the Finch app every chance I get--it's a virtual pet that you feed by keeping a to do list and doing self care exercises. I just can't make myself keep up with my bujo no matter how hard I try but I will always find it in me to write a sentence about my day to make my lil bird friend happy :) Best of luck, friend

I've done fidget toys. Also, keep everything together. For example, if you tend to forget things when you leave the house: put everything you need in one single pile (in a bag maybe) and grab everything all at once. Or if you need to get ready for something, change and do everything in the bathroom or a low-sensory area that is less distracting that you can stay in until you've finished everything necessary. Fish oil I've heard is good supplements

Coffee, copious amounts of coffee, or energy drinks that have caffeine in it. I have been self medicating for years lol.
