Tell him you have a hard time focusing and it could be adhd because I'm constantly hyperfocusing on every little thing

Hyperfocus is a big thing with people with a adhd brain

I went to a place to be tested for it and brought the report from them which diagnosed me with it. Then just asked for meds for it.

I would ask for a referral (if you need one) to see someone about getting tested for ADHD. I'm not a fan of doctors that will give the diagnosis out like candy to write a prescription. Those medications can really mess with ya. Best of luck

Someone told me about Circle Medical. They specialize in ADHD diagnosis and medication. They can do same day diagnosis virtually.

Sorry I prematurely posted. I will use circle medical if my dr decides to take me off of vyvance. I have an ADD diagnosis from the 90’s but my dr doesn’t believe me (she’s really bad, I will be switching next month). She has me on vyvance for my binge eating disorder and refuses yo acknowledge my adhd.

impulsivity can indeed be adhd. I guess it depends on all your symptoms. I can't even read untreated.

Hyperfocus in the sense of avoidance to starting something that needs to be done or finishing something. Not ocd. I hate this condition. I sleep better treated. I am more present. Life has less stress because I get things done. I was cut off medication. I found several days worth that I had packed in a travel bag from 6 years ago. I was a fully functional human yesterday and today even with ptsd. I did so much better. People with adhd are prone to impulsivity. Add in ptsd and the condition became hell. I know I need treatment.
