Looking for ADHD medication alternatives

so, I've been on Concerta(methylphenidate) since I was at least 6 or 7 and I stopped taking it in high school. I was on another medication for a few years after quitting concerta but it made me tick like I had tourettes syndrome and Idk why. when I started smoking marijuana I felt so much better but grew a tolerance to it to the point where it doesn't do anything. I've been having more difficulties with concentration and I'm getting easily distracted again. who has tips for focusing better without harsh medications or expensive therapy? TIA 😊

For me, I really can’t focus well without medication. There are so many other meds out there now. You might just need to try a different dosage or drug.

I also quit after high school and didn’t realize how many issues being unmedicated was causing for me. I had a hard time keeping my house clean, texting friends back, making appointments such as hair cut, dentist etc. i recently went back on medication and can’t believe how much it has helped me. I am so much more organized, less forgetful, and it’s so much easier to get my work done and keep up my social connections
