ADHD Meltdown: How Do You Cope?

Today I had what felt like a meltdown. I don’t know if it’s common with ADHD or if it’s more of an anxiety thing… But my usual fidgeting(foot tapping) became really hard to control and spread throughout my body (to my hands and lips and both of my legs). Like I was conscious and could control what I was doing to an extent. Then I had a meeting at work where I snapped pretty badly at a coworker, I think I was really on edge and my anxiety was very high. Has this happened to anyone else and what seems to trigger it for you? I started on Adderall about two months ago

when I started adhd medication it worked really well for the adhd symptoms. It made me realize I had a comorbidity with another neurodivergence though. Keep track of your symtpoms, and point them out to your doctor. If adderal works but you have that internal "but i think something similar would work better" listen to it, maybe ask your dr what they think about switching to a diff adhd medication whenever you see them next if things dont improve.

Yes!! And here’s some tips 1) Get the anger out. If you were angry then, you’ll be angry later bc we don’t forget. 2) Increase hydration, exercise, and bowel movements. 3) Say “No” more often.
