Struggling with ADHD at Social Events

hi. I keep running into issues related to untreated ADHD. I keep freaking out at parties and acting 'rude' when I really just feel bored as heck and tired. I try to go for walks to try and cope. but I still feel like my brain is on fire. I'm good until maybe halfway through any event. my boyfriend thinks I just don't want to participate.

You may need to stim, a lot of ADHD people need multiple forms of stimulation at once to remain focused and balanced. We frequently disassociate and seem not present or become very uncomfortable in situations where there isn't enough stimulation or too much stimulation without enough of an outlet.

I get called rude a lot too. Sometimes I'm too caught up in my own head to pay attention, sometimes I get like mad flashes, where my tone will be meaner than normal. Sometimes I'm pissed off just because *something* is off, but I can't identify it and I usually don't even know something is wrong until I realize I'm coming across like a jerk.

This happens a lot and then I get questioned why I feel that way and it's extremely difficult to explain then I stop getting invited and it hurts.

People are rude to me cause they think I'm not owning attention which gets me pissed cause they don't understand how hard it is to pay attention

Exactly I take vyvance and if I take it like I should it does make me feel a bit jittery but that's because I don't take it like should but if I do it really helps. And I understand there are a lot of people who don't want to take medicine and there are multiple reasons why. But if you do it does really help in the long run.
