ADHD: Therapy or Medication?

I was diagnosed with ADHD as a kid when it was overly diagnosed. I've learned that I have a lot of the key symptoms still but haven't been on medicine for a while. would it be better to go to therapy/counseling or get back on medicine?

ADHD here! I don’t take medication for that because i don’t like the side effects. Here’s what helps me: Meditation for focus Digital detox + walk when my thoughts are going too fast or I’m too distracted LISTS -every morning I write 3 have to do’s, and 3 would be good to get to. It helps me a lot!

I was diagnosed as a kid but I temporarily quit my meds when I was 14 due to side effects. I tried therapy while it helped with anxiety, I still struggled with ADHD symptoms so I restarted meds when I was 21 and I have been doing much better. I was able to find a better type of meds for me. I think I have pretty severe ADHD what made restart them is when I couldn’t focus to clean my room.
