Need advice on getting through anxiety and depression

Need advice on how to get through anxiety and depression: Hey guys, I went through a physical chronic-pain related flair-up recently and it triggered a depressive/anxious episode. Today and yesterday, I’ve been in a homeostasis of panic, unable to sleep soundly without waking up, legs shaking and heart racing, the whole deal. I’m struggling to get my mind off the whole thing. I feel best when I’m distracted, but when I’m done distracting, the fear returns. Everyone says “accept your fear,” but I don’t know what that looks like. What I need to know, is how do you guys get through these episodes? How do you practice acceptance? And how do you stay brave even though you’re scared things won’t change? Thanks, I need to know I’m not alone.

I definitely understand what you’re going through. If you can, put ice where it’s hurting and leave it for a while- a heating pad can work too :] If you have a quiet place where you won’t be disturbed by other people, i like turning off the lights and putting an ice pack to my forehead and do some breathing excersizes. If you have headphones to block out sound, that’s great too :)) I hope you get a period of rest soon from all of this, stay safe! Just during this time, take care of your needs and wants as much as possible! -Love from a stranger ❤️❤️❤️

My mind doesn't like to stop thinking. So I get threw days by having taks, normally I write them down on my phone notes and check them off when they are done. The taks are like: go on a 5 minute walk, nail care, duolingo, organize purse, clean toilet. Depending on what kind of day it is I would have a couple things on there or a lot. I TRY not to overthink everything. Which is easier said then done. And depending if you have the maybe, try to get out of the house.

You have to ride out the wave, I know it sounds cliche but it will get better!! Even if it takes longer than others or longer than in the past . What helps me is telling myself I am safe although my brain doesn’t think so. Surround yourself and talk to people you love. Watch your fav shows listen to your favorite songs or songs that are up best and cheer you up and as time goes on you will be more experiences when this happens. As hopeless as you feel there are better days coming. Promise
