Advice for quitting vaping before top surgery?

any advice for quitting vaping? I have top surgery soon and want to quit for like 12 weeks but I haven't gone with out vaping for like 3 years. I'm trying to go cold turkey and idk how well that will work. I gave my bf my vape so I'm not tempted by it but I already want to go buy a disposable

I've never struggled with this specific addiction before but my mom is currently getting off cigarettes, and using nicotine patches has really helped her, it's been a month or two and she says she only thinks about it when something super stressful happens now. Obviously progress isn't linear and it's going to be different for everyone, but that's the best advice I can give, follow the instructions, listen to others who've dealt with it & try to have faith in yourself! And congrats scheduling top surgery that's awesome!!

✋ I am in the same situation I smoked cigarettes for 15 years then figured vaping would help me kick that habit. It did. But...now it's been 3 years and I can't put down the vape without having a panic attack I've tried the patch but seemed to have odd side effects, even going to lower dose. I know its all in my head that I have to have it in my hand not so much the nicotine. I've looked into the air flow vape but they are outrageously priced.

Hi! For some people cold turkey just doesn't work, and that's okay. You are still going to feel withdrawal symptoms, which may include headaches, irritability, nausea, etc. Try to slowly lower how much you take in at one time, until it is none at all. One thing that I found useful is actually researching what things like that do. I don't know how long until your surgery (congrats btw) but I think and hope you can do it. Always remember, support is power.

Wellbutrin helped me and that was just a lucky coincidental side effect
