Is Age Regression Linked to Depression?

is age regression apart of my depression? because I was treated really poorly as a child and most of my childhood was taken from me

Not sure wrote what you mean but I feel you 💯. I am quite childish @ times in told. I don't mean to its just me. I was on my own since 16. My parent/caretaker left and abandoned me and my older sister in our house with no utilities. Life was hard and my childhood before that was very tough too. To say the least. As long as you can functionally be an adult what's the harm of being childish. IDK... I once heard from a very wise and happy couple ... the art of staying young is acting young, it keeps the mind and soul young.

I'm 22 almost 23 and I still feel like I'm 16 and my biological family abandoned me as well and my girlfriends family is trying their best to help me I'm very thankful for the help they've given me but sometimes I feel like a complete and utter nucence to them and sometimes I distance myself from people because of how I feel

Well I'm 35 and I get along with 12-16 yr Olds better @ times. I'm always told I'm too immature maybe part of the reason why I was abused by everyone I knew. But if that's the case @ least once/ week shoot for once per day. If you don't know what you can do to help. Ask them if you could do anything for them. That can help. Now if your referring @ being a slob and just not cleaning up after yourself... that's not being a teen that's just not right... kids know too do stuff and to clean up after themselves. You are well old enough and you know that too. If you feel like a bother do something about it. Like I tell my daughter about every day... stop complaining about things that you CAN fix. Be of more help. 1st recognize 2nd plan 3rd follow-through 4th re-evaluate and redo Maybe I'm a bit far off from what you were expecting and I'm sorry if I'm hitting wrong. Only trying to give some insight and help. Noone else has yet replied and I hoped to be of some assistance because I feel the same as your wording. Wish you well.

To an extent yes something like that. But either way as long as we recognize ww can change. It just takes thought. Lol also another thing I'm trying to teach my kid... always try to think before you do. It's just a good way to live and less mistakes happen. But it has made me very indecisive 😅... I think more than I actually do any more. Although my mouth is pretty loose @ work but I'm a manager and they need to hear me @ times. Even maybe "yell" @ yourself in your head. If you don't want to hear yourself "yell" act better. There's no harm in being a little childish though but there's different ways I mean that I'm sure you understand now.
