Some allergies are a slow escalation and some are sudden changes. An old friend of mine LOVES kiwi but when she turned 12 suddenly found she was severely allergic to them. Either of these could be the case with you. 🤷‍♀️ Bodies are weird.

Yes, I became allergic to cats, which yes I know isn't food, but it's an allergy, when I was 12 or 13 years old I can't quite remember. I also became allergic to all acidic food when I was 29, but I have a condition that makes my body reject and have reactions to acidic foods. I have others that right now I cannot think of (fibro fog), but bodies are very weird and change consistently.

As your body goes through life it has many different hormonal changes. Hormones are a key part of what causes you to have an allergic reaction. A hormonal change of any kind can turn something you're not allergic to into something that is deadly in a matter of days or weeks. Your best bet if you think you are developing new allergies is to get allergy tests done because this can help identify other things which this could be happening with.
