Should I seek alternative help for my undiagnosed mental illness?

If I have a lot of symptoms of something and have the past to match up to getting the mental illness c-ptsd but I cant get diagnosed, right now, should I still try to find alternative ways to help it, or try to get diagnosed first?

Hey, person with cptsd here. It's a rough thing to deal with, and if you feel like you have it, you should start your healing process as soon as you're ready, with or without a diagnosis. As someone with it, I can give a few tips. It's always good to explore yourself and learn what effects your trauma has had on you, but don't push yourself too hard. You're still vulnerable after the traumatic event is over. Something that's not talked about much : there's a good chance that you'll start seeing new trauma responses even after you've started healing. It's totally normal and you're not alone. Take it all at your own pace.

You're valid with or without a proper diagnosis :)
