I don’t use Gabapentin for pain: Lyrica & Effexor together for Fibro. I see a pain specialist: I am receiving Steroid shots for my cervical vertebrae which 3 are herniated. So for pain I’m using Hydrocodone 7.5/325 (7.5 of Norco/ 325 aspirin.) There are other options like Maloxicam which is an anti inflammatory. I hope this is helpful, I will add other options after I meet with my Rheumatologist next week!

Here where I am your lucky if you can even get Hydrocodone for pain. My Meloxicam, Gabapentin and Topamax doesn't seem to work for me anymore.

Getting Hydrocodone is difficult; see a Pain Doctor who has a Anesthesiologist background. Meloxacam is a anti inflammatory, Gabapentin calms your nerve endings, Tramadol does help when paired with a low dose Hydrocodone. Steroid Shots may help too.

I take some traditional pain medicines, but in all honesty, I am beginning to think that Western medicine has a lot to learn. I am having an aromatherapy massage once a month, using tiger balm and doing regular exercise, including low intensity yoga.
