There are supplements you can try that aren’t pharmaceutical meds. They most likely aren’t going to do the job as well as meds though. If your hesitation on taking statins is around fear driven by biased and unconfirmed studies, I greatly urge you to talk to your Dr. While no drug is 100% safe 100% of the time, statins are time and time again proven to be some of the safest and well-tolerated classes of drugs available. I am not a Dr, and this is not medical advice, but I do have a lot of experience with a statin and what it can do for (very) high cholesterol, and I have a highly-respected internist as my main Dr, who himself has been on a statin for 30 years.

I Have concerns that it will damage my liver and kidneys ! And for women especially after menopause it makes them more prone to type two diabetes! I’m not sure I’m ready to embark on it yet. I’m doing citrus bergamot , it’s suppose to naturally reduce LDL thus reducing bad cholesterol .

Fish oil helps . But currently take 20 mg of prevastatin for a few years and they added vacepa which is new and is supposed to be amazing with statin I take 2000 grams and it has made a big difference as my triglycerides are really bad 😬
