Anemia Diagnosis and No Answers

I was diagnosed with anemia last year. I started having chest pains and my boyfriend took me to the ER. Come to find out my iron and b12 were extremely low and blood count was 0.2 away from me needing a blood transfusion. But I had no blood loss at all and nothing showed on my scans. A year later they still can't tell me what's wrong but my blood count this last appt was lower than it has been in the previous months. Anyone experienced this?

Do you take b12 shots? I get them every month. My iron fluctuates but it's fine now. Keep track and look into it. B12 deficiency can cause neurological damage if left untreated. My older sis had to deal with low blood count. Dangerously low. She needed blood transfusions to get it back up. She has lupus and both types of anemia. But I think her body can digest and absorb b12. Mine can't

I didn't realize how big of a deal B12 is. I suffer from it and ania and all my blood is messed up but I take the injections weekly.

I have extremely low B12 and iron and now vitamin D but my body doesn't absorb any of it so I don't know what to do about it

injections and IV iron transfusions. I do both. I don't absorb certain nutrients so I will forever have these problems.

I experience this all the time. Just spent 10 days in hospital and a month prior, 7 days getting a lot of blood transfusions. 9 just this last time. My hemoglobin was 4 and platelets were 50,000 so I was knocking on deaths door and we still can't figure out why and I am getting frustrated. So I. In the same boat. I know nutrition is very important they say.
