Anxiety and Stomach: Does Anyone Else Experience This?

Does anybody else’s anxiety affect their stomach? If I worry too much or get nervous about something my stomach will turn and give me nausea

It depends how anxious I get. First I sweat, but if it’s more severe my breathing is affected and my chest feels tight. Thankfully, I haven’t had my chest hurt for a good while

when i wasn’t managing my anxiety it all piled up and ended up with over a month of constant dehabilitating nausea and never being able to keep anything down. i also experience chest pain, heart palpitations and the likes due to my anxiety. systematic symptoms tell you when you’re anxious when you don’t even know haha.

My job is taking calls all day. Every time the phone rings it makes me go into a panic sadly. I have to go to the restroom lots because it can eat me alive sometimes. It makes me throw up a lot…But I love my job :/

For a really long time I would throw up when something worried me and it went on for about two years it started out that I needed to be really anxious but after a while anything that I was nervous about I would throw up and it would suck cause if I didn’t eat that day it would hurt so bad to throw up (literally just stomach acid) but I couldn’t stop it. It stopped around the time I got my meds upped

unfortunately i'm a victim of this. i'm regularly stressed and it puts a lot of pressure on my gut and it's causing problems. slowly finding things to calm and slow me down.

I gained ibs and ended up throwing up everytime I was anxious. It's still very bad to this day. Everytime anything remotely nerve wracking happens, I get sick

Yes immediately if I get anxious I get a pain in my stomach but then I also have to poo like bad, no way to control it, and I get very jittery or Shakey

Yep! I always leave myself a little extra time before anything big like a date or a job interview so I can use the restroom because I know I’m going to feel like shitting or peeing on myself otherwise 💀

Yes! I dealt with this for about 10 years! Only recently have I able to manage it. I was diagnosed with gastritis and finally realized it was connected to my anxiety and caffeine drinking. I learned to manage my anxiety and stopped drinking caffeine and it’s mostly gone!
