Finally found something that helps with my anxiety!

After years of trying different medications for anxiety and panic attacks and not getting anywhere, I’ve finally started taking something that helps! 😃 It’s called Vortioxetine, and I felt an improvement after only a couple days of taking it! This combined with mindfulness and going to the gym has really helped me with depression, stress, anxiety & IBS. I don’t feel so panicked anymore which was the main thing I needed help with 😄💓

Any side effects? I ask because the one that worked for me was originally prescribed by a primary care and not a psychiatrist after I kept stating that the root of my mental woes was lifelong insomnia, which oftentimes left me too nauseous to eat. They were more worried about my inability to pack on weight, so they threw mirtazapine at me, which should also make me tired. For the last 5 years, I've called it my wonder drug because it helped put on and keep on weight, AND finally got me sleeping like normal. So the side effects were exactly the right combo to get me feeling right in body and mind. But recently, it's become less effective on both fronts, so I may need to look at good alternatives. Without that extreme eating and then deep sleeping, I'm noticing a sharp decline in my psychological health again. I've had issues with all other psychological meds because my psychological defects were the effect and not the cause.

sorry you’re going through that ☹️ I hope there’s another medication out there that will help you, maybe your body got too used to the drug. There are side effects of this drug yeh, but I don’t seem to be experiencing any 💕
