Struggling with Nail Biting Due to Anxiety

Does anybody struggle with nail biting due to their anxiety? I do it REALLY badly. I chew on my hangnails and cuticles and my fingers bleed. I've been biting since 2nd grade, but it's only gotten this bad the past few months. I'm trying to find ways to stop. I almost do it without thinking.

I have the same issues, I've been buying my nails until they hurt and are bleeding. I've been doing this since for as long as I can remember. As I write this I have maybe a 1/2 inch of nails :/. It's almost like a comfort thing, and it's something that's always in your control

Have you tried the nail-biting nail-biting polish. You put it on and it gives off a bitter taste reminding you not to bite your nails. It didn't work for me because I liked the taste (im weird in this sense) but three of my friends used it and it worked for them.

I have tried the no bite polish before, but I absolutely hated the taste. When I would eat my food it would get on there too, and it really didn't work for me. I also tried getting acrylics so my nails had time to grow back, but when I took them off I could only let my natural nail grow for a week or 2 tops. One bad day resets the nail cycle.... Hahaha

I actually liked the taste too! My parents tried it on me when I was younger. Ughhhh

I have a hang nail picking issue. My suggestion is either put nail polish or at least a clear coat on your nails or get a fidget toy or ring to keep your mind off of biting them

I used too all the time, not sure it was quite as bad as you describe but it for sure hurt. I actually stopped because it was hurting my teeth...I keep them really short now and obsessively nail clip instead.

I use a thick layer of nail polish (no base or top coat) and instead of biting, I scrape the nail polish off.

It helps if it's a bright color that doesnt match anything
