This might be bad advice, but I noticed that I give myself signals (I bite myself) when I’m not paying attention to my anxiety. My anxiety is constantly rising, so if I decide to pretend it doesn’t exist, it’ll overwhelm me. Idk if it’ll work, but I’m trying to remember to breathe the second I bite instead of ‘pushing’ through whatever thought process I’m having. No matter what I think where I am at should be affecting me, if I’m biting, I’m going too far. Maybe that’ll help? Idk. I also had a Fitbit for a while that tracked my heart rate. It was at its lowest when I was in a car or playing animal crossing. You can also try to track your heart rate to find what things calm you down too

thanks, i know a lot of coping skills and in the moment reminders, I just find myself using them once then never again or I won't do that one thing that helped for a long time and I'll just cycle through

box breathing is a great one!!!!! wish i actually started practicing it sooner. i thought breathing to help with anxiety was BS. but wow. if all you’re doing is counting in your head over and over, along with the controlled breathing, it does wonders!!

I second this. Box breathing has saved me from many panic attacks.

Calming down breathing by doing inhale for 3 seconds and exhale for 3 seconds. If that doesn't help then I play games on my phone for stress. Video games help me really to forget about anything else. I remind myself that no one's watching me or cares like I think they do and it helps me relax. Or just playing a movie in my mind or a song like daydreaming

On top of breathing exercise sometimes reciting mantras help me to "I am safe. I am exactly where I need to be right now. I am excited for what the future brings" also when alone sometimes just making myself smile for like 10seconds can shift my mood. I noticed regular exercise helps my anxiety too! Warm wishes <3

thanks, I try but in the moment it's hard to remember to do a certain skill. I find myself doing one thing like saying "deep breath so you know you can" every once in a while and other times it won't occur to me that saying that might help. My anxietys touchy and annoying
