How to lessen anxiety while driving?

I was in a bad car accident in September that resulting my car being in the shop for 2 months. I have it back now which is wonderful BUT anytime a car gets way to close to the rear of my car my anxiety sky rockets. Any advice on how to lessen my anxiety while driving??

I have also just recovered from a car accident. It resulted in some server back pains. But the more u drive the better your going to feel. I still struggle with driving sometimes depending on certain roads and or weather conditions. But just keep driving and when you start to freak out just take a second to remind you there’s a very low chance that u will get rear ended again

My PTSD doesn't stem from the same thing as yours, however, I imagine that driving as little as possible by yourself will help. Have someone in the car with you that makes you feel secure or safe and I would think that would help. I'm doing something similar to deal with my PTSD.

I was in a bad car accident too. I try breathing exercises and remind myself that it's very unlikely i'll be in another accident and that I am in control

I went through the same thing, just in November. I have to focus on where I'm going and remind myself why I'm going there
