Neurological exams usually cannot tell. Those are usually done to diagnose tourettes, seizures, Parkinson’s, or other neurological disorders. Autism is a Neurodevelopmental disorder and as such is usually diagnosed by neuropsychologists or sometimes other psychologists. I was diagnosed by a neuropsych. It cost $5,000 and a 9mo wait. I don’t recommend doing an official diagnosis unless you need the accommodations or assurance. If you do proper research on autism and the community makes you feel understood/supported, you can just self-diagnose.
