I’m sorry to hear that. I was diagnosed last year and my mom still doesn’t believe me and a few friends. It’s really tough to navigate but knowing for myself has been huge for me.

while i have on my profile that i have asd, it’s the only one i have no official diagnosis for. i’ve had most all my psychologists and therapists suggest being tested because they believe i have highly functioning autism. my mom and my primary doctor not only don’t want me me tested, but deny autism as a possibility. my mom even calls it fake sometimes! it’s really hard to struggle with something without answers, especially when you cant really self diagnose but you have so many people against you doing so. you’re not crazy and you’re definitely not alone. keep pushing! you deserve real answers

I myself am looking for a diagnosis. My mom claims I’m “too smart to have autism”, which I know has nothing to do with it. My therapist wants me tested. I’ll likely do it when I’m 18.
