Does anyone with autism always identify as genderqueer, genderfluid, or something else like that?

while i outwardly look “feminine” to people, i do not give two flips about my gender. i could go really deep into the topic of gender bc i have a lot of loud opinions on it, but yeah i just don’t like identifying myself at all as anything. just vibing in the goo

cue me telling everyone i’m bisexual or pansexual because i find it easier than explaining my “don’t know, don’t care, just vibing” concept to people i meet

I don’t identify with the concept of gender at all. I understand what it is and all, but I have yet to hear a label I like so I just sort of exist.

I've always presented as a "woman" because the idea of trying anything else mildly terrifies me / I don't have the energy to deal with responses, but have always felt non-binary /indifferent to the whole concept.

a lot of autistic people tend to identify as nonbinary or gender nonconforming, if they even think about their gender identity. I think part of that might be because gender identity is very outwardly expressed and autistic people tend to process the world very internally so gender expression isn't a huge thing for us

It's not an "always" thing, but a lot of autistic people (myself included) struggle with the concept of gender, because it's just a social construct, and a weird one at that, with a lot of different rules & expectations we don't tend to match up with. I myself am non binary!
