I don't have that issue at all I can definitely see that. Do you have any difficulty reading animal body language in this case especially dogs? Thats a pretty large part of it a lot of dog owners unconsciously both adopt dogs with at least one similar physical feature as themselves, familiarity and all, and take up some of the dogs body language at least when they're around their dog. It could be something some autistic people have issues with this particularly because you have difficulty with body language as a whole or with animal body language, another option is difficulty with telling similarities in physical characteristics between humans and animals. That would also make sense to why it doesn't effect me since I permanently have the body language of someone raised by wolves so I don't actually know how to come off like a human being lol. It's because my autism makes it so I have hyper empathy and a special interest for animals and plants with no empathy for humans, hence my user name, so for me I guess it makes it a bit easier.

I'm actually pretty in tune with animals, I work with dogs as a job. I just have no idea how people see them like physically similar to people like... that's an animal.

I get it! In cartoons and they try to match the animals with the owners I never quite understand why they match! Like in secret life of pets! I just don't quite understand
