Where to Inject Auto-Injectors?

To those who use Auto-Injectors, where do you inject yourself? Thigh or Stomach? I am starting Humira today and it is my first time using an injector. I have a pretty good pain tolerance and am not scared of needles.

Can you help? Connect today

When I used to use humira I used to inject thighs I had the imagery it would scar my belly or damage my gut, the medicine goes into the fatty tissue for absorption so either way should work as long as your rotate for the next injection to avoid scaring. What helped me is to rest after wards felt the inflammation go down after resting for abit after the injection. I did build immunity for it unfortunately before moving to the next biological treatment, the guidance suggested an additional doses could have helped however couldn’t get access and was more responsive with ustekinmab after I just built immunity to that after five years which is longer than humira

I dont use auto injectors anymore Now I have a really really bad fear of needles(which does affect my opinion) and have had my dad inject in both my stomach and thighs(I physically couldn't do it myself). For me the thighs worked a lot better for me because my brain wasnt convinced the needle would do any damage there (even though i know it won't, I thought the needle could pierce my internal organs with injecting in my stomach for context). From what I remember the stomach was less painful then the thighs though

My specialist said they noted a trend that male patients generally prefer the thigh, and female patients the stomach. I though that was interesting. I only did thigh, tried stomach once, didn't like it.
